QUALITY AND SAFETY
STATEMENT FROM BABYBJÖRN
Quality
A BabyBjörn product can handle intensive use. The secret behind our products’ high level of durability is that we are quality conscious down to the smallest detail. We also aim to limit our impact on the environment in conjunction with production, logistics and waste management, by developing durable and recyclable products. We work only with companies and organizations that share our values and our demand for quality.
Product Safety
Your child’s safety is of the utmost priority to us, here at BabyBjörn, so we always have our products checked by independent test institutes. As a parent, you should be able to feel safe and secure when you and your child use a BabyBjörn product. When children suck on their baby carrier, get messy in their Eat and Play Smock or sleep in their Travel Crib, you can rest assured that these products have been properly tested and approved.
Plastic Products
A BabyBjörn product only contains materials that have been thoroughly tested and all materials that will come into contact with food are food-safety approved. BabyBjörn does not use chemical additives such as cadmium, lead, bisphenol A (BPA), phthalates, bromine or chlorine. Nor do we use PVC, and all our plastics are recyclable.
Oeko-Tex
All of the textiles we use that will come into close contact with your child are approved in accordance with the Oeko-Tex Standard 100, Class 1 eco-certification. The Oeko-Tex system ensures that the textiles, which have passed the tests and been certified, do not contain concentrations of substances that could be hazardous to human health. The certificates awarded to Oeko-Tex-approved products are revised and updated every year. As soon as a product is changed in any way, it undergoes testing for new certification. The Oeko-Tex test institute was founded in 1992. Since then Oeko-Tex Standard 100 has become an international standard for safety throughout the textile chain.
